Explore the Urschner mountains with our off-piste guides

Whether you want to take your first turns in powder snow, improve your freeride technique or simply enjoy the mountains of the Urseren valley - you've come to the right place. We will give you valuable tips so that you can enjoy riding in unprepared terrain. We will show you the most beautiful off-piste runs (off-piste runs without long ascents with climbing skins) around Andermatt.

Our experienced, local snow sports instructors, who are fully trained according to the Swiss Snowsports guidelines and have a Swiss federal licence, are all in possession of the necessary Cantonal permit for off-piste guiding.

 Please note

Weather and snow conditions determine the possible downhill runs. The ski passes for the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun are not included in the lesson price.

 Required equipment

Freeride skis and safety set (backpack, avalanche transceiver, avalanche probe and avalanche shovel). A safety-set can be rented with us direct here.

 Information for North Americans

While ski-patrolled back country skiing is prevalent in North American skiing, the same is not true in Europe. With such large mountains, there is a greater risk for exposure to avalanches when going “off-piste” or off-trail, and skiers are taking that risk into their own hands in Europe as these areas are not monitored by ski patrol. If you do plan to ski off-piste, always come prepared with avalanche equipment and consider hiring a mountain guide.
